The connectors of AEC cables contain active components and driver chips (retimers) for transmitting and receiving electrical signals. AEC can solve the technical barriers of data loss in PAM4 signal transmission. Compared with traditional passive copper cables, 800Gbps AEC cable can achieve long-distance transmission of 7m without significantly increasing signal attenuation.
